Born into a secluded, rigid religious community in Rancho Dominguez, Antonio "Ant" Thornton was raised under his father’s iron-fisted, fire-and-brimstone preaching. Though sheltered, Ant’s empathetic spirit recoiled at the disconnect between strict dogma and the systemic struggles of his neighbors.

Respecting his roots but questioning their exclusion, he chose a different path.
